English for Green Literacy: An English Textbook Integrated with Islamic Ecotheological Values is a textbook designed to help students learn English through meaningful environmental themes and Islamic values. This book introduces students to important ecological issues such as Allah’s creation, human responsibility as khalifah, balance in nature, water conservation, pollution, biodiversity, green lifestyle, and environmental action. Through these themes, students are encouraged to understand that learning English can also become a way to reflect on their responsibility to protect the earth.

This textbook develops the four English language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Each chapter provides structured activities, including Let’s Get Started, Green Words, Listen and Learn, Speak Up, Read and Reflect, and Write Your Ideas. These activities are designed to help students practice English actively, expand their vocabulary, understand different text types, express ideas, and connect language learning with real environmental issues.

The book consists of eight chapters: The Earth as Allah’s Creation, Human as Khalifah on Earth, Mizan: Balance in Nature, Water, Cleanliness, and Conservation, Fasad: Pollution on Land and Sea, Rahmah for Animals and Biodiversity, Against Israf: Green Lifestyle and Consumption, and Green Action Project. At the end of the book, an Islamic Eco-Theological Word Bank is provided to help students review important environmental and Islamic ecotheological terms used throughout the textbook. This book is expected to support students in improving their English competence while building ecological awareness, Islamic character, and responsibility to care for Allah’s creation.
